PP seemed pretty cool, but I wasn't sure. We just wanted strangers to listen to our tunes and get some exposure. We're not trying to get famous but it's depressing to put years of work into a release just for your parents and a few friends to listen. We've never toured but regularly play decent gigs in the Philadelphia area.

We're in our thirties and have played our instruments for decades. I'm a real dude in a real band called Gene Wildest. I wanted to post this here to share my story. If they sound like they're recorded by a 13 year old through a laptop mic then why should they get put on good playlists. It's hard to judge PP without hearing the songs associated with an unsuccessful campaign. Curators have to like it and that's what is cool about it - it's real. If Playlist Push is what it promises, they're not just blindly promoting your music. Virtually all of the negative comments I see throughout the internet (including here) are posted without a link to their song. A lot of the positive reviews online very well could be sponsored by Playlist Push (some definitely are) or could have came from a few lucky artists with a golden voice and/or a particularly successful experience. I didn't personally know anyone who had tried it.

I wanted to start this community because Playlist Push seemed like a great idea, but I felt like I couldn't get honest opinions from people's experience.
